Today the institute is recognized as one of the centers of academic excellence in Northern India. The Institute is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, Kota for offering Postgraduate and Graduate Courses in Engineering and Management.

Apart from University curriculum RIET also pursues activities for research and development in various fields.

Traditionally, the college has always had a scholarly faculty. It has a set of highly motivated teachers, many of whom are involved in active research and Post-Graduate teaching as guest lecturers at various other organizations. Some faculty members have taken up advance research projects in collaboration with other universities and reputed institutes.
The faculty at the RIET presents a rich blend of relevant academic specialization, industrial expertise and teaching experience. The faculty encourages ‘application-oriented’ learning through the use of new and innovative teaching methods, to enable students to be ‘industry-ready’.
RIET has over 150 faculty members who hold distinguished academic qualifications and have a wide industry exposure. The faculties at RIET are constantly engaged in delivering their best to the students. The team comprises of various M.Tech & PhD holders.
