CONFERENCE ON EXPLORING RENEWABLE ENERGY POTENTIAL IN STATE OF RAJASTHAN

CELEBRATING RAJEEV GANDHI JAYANTI AKSHAY URJA DIWAS AT BIRLA AUDITORIUM
Rajasthan Institute of Engineering & Technology students attended a one day conference on EXPLORING RENEWABLE ENERGY POTENTIAL IN STATE OF RAJASTHAN at BIRLA AUDITORIUM. This was in commemoration in CELEBRATING RAJEEV GANDHI RENEWABLE DAY.
In the morning itself the students of MBA and B.Tech departments departed for Birla Auditorium along with their faculty members for the day long activity.
The chief guest on this occasion was the Honerable chief Minister of Rajasthan shri Ashok Gahlot. Dr B D Kalla Minister for Energy and Shri D B Gupta , chief secretary Govt of Rajasthan joined the inaugural session.
Various experts gave presentations and speeches on this occasion. The following points were touched upon.
Solar energy prospects and issues
Wind energy
R E financing
Bio mass issues
Storage technology
Electrical vehicles and solar charging stations
Shri Jitendra Agarwal motivated everyone to use solar energy.
Shri Sandeep Gupta spoke on energy storage and E V markets
Shri Anil Gupta and Shri A K Jain also spoke on energy conservation.
Speaking about this activity Principal, RIET, Dr. Saroj Hiranwal, said that the students need to know about RENEWABLE ENERGY and therefore conferences like this should be attended by all technocrats.
HOD MBA, Dr Monika Shekhawat also said that apart from basic academics, exposures of this kind are highly useful for the management personnel, as they get to learn many aspects.
